Description
It’s a super classic Barolo from one of La Morra's greatest sites
There’s nothing attenuated or ethereal on the palate – it's remarkably dense
lees and buttered toast
This will require the better part of a decade to fully resolve the slightly rustic tannic spine
Like the Malconsorts this intensely mineral-driven effort is somewhat less structured than usual though it certainly doesn’t lack for power and punch
Dame Montrose other_regions It’s a super classic BaroloLots of sediment and bottle deposit. Mid garnet. Racy and lively with a good spine of ripe fruit and no obvious sweetness nor alcohol. Well, perhaps just a little sweetness. And a tiny hint of dried fruit on the end. Lacks the complexity of the Calon Sgur 1998 tasted immediately beforehand but it certainly isn't tired in any way.
