Description
a little more austere perhaps
There is a notably finer and more sophisticated mouth feel to the round
Initially a bit brooding
The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Red Rock Terrace comes from seven acres of the 20-acre vineyard (whereas the Gravelly Meadow emerges from five acres)
full medium ruby
Gerard Raphet, Morey Saint Denis Rouge Vintage:2021 a little more austere perhapsThe cool and airy nose is earthier still with its array of red and blue pinot fruit where a touch of crushed fennel lurks in the background. There is fine volume to the appealingly textured middleweight flavors thanks mainly to the relatively fine grained tannins that also shape the moderately firm and more complex finale that is just a bit firmer. This is a good Morey villages that should repay 5 to 8 years of keeping.
