No way to loose track of one's spools or scissors with this guy around--though I think even if one hasn't sewed a stitch in one's life

but I love these things

Antique Hand-forged Flint Striker With Beautiful Curve and Curl wooden geese Signed with a monogram inThis struck me an especially lovely old forged iron flint striker, used for starting a fire. I am not certain exact age, but it certainly looks and feels quite old to me. Beautiful form, great surface, satisfying in the hand. I might be inclined to wear this as a pendant around my neck when wanting needing to feel powerful! 3 1 4" x 1 1 4". Surface wear and aging as evident, very much to the good I think.
