Carved Shoe with Bear Cub Inside! woman's head and I believe yellow wax

and I believe yellow wax crayon on white watercolor paper

and a bit of wire exposed on one ear

and in 1922 they began stamping each piece with the circular Jugtown Ware stamp

and a "disc number" 1G91-2 carved into the base--which would date him between approximately 1940-1970

and add a wonderful additional dimension to the forms

If this had been done in porcelain or carved in a more refined way I think it might be too cute for me, but as is I think it is exactly right! Those little front paws and oh, that little face! 3 3 4" l x 2 7 8" t x 1 1 4" w and in great condition, with a fair amount of age. A pretty perfect stocking stuffer, for sure.
