The DOCG of Vernaccia di San Gimignano is in the Siena province of Tuscany, where Chianti Coli Senesi is made. Vernaccia di San Gimignano is interestingly considered to not be related any other Vernaccia and has been cultivated in the area since likely 1276, and (much!) later awarded DOCG status in 1993.
