This delivers way better fruit complexity than the monolith Napa Cabernet cliché

less demonstrative than bottles encountered previously and less “sexier”

It brings notes of chocolate and spice

with a long maceration on the skins lasting 20-22 days

Hubert Lignier, Pommard Brescul Vintage:2020 (from 15+ year old vines)Distinct floral top notes are present on the aromas of violet, lavender and black raspberry. There is excellent punch to the well delineated if slightly angular medium bodied flavors that conclude in a moderately austere and slightly rustic finale. This will need a few years to hopefully add body and round out and my projected range offers the benefit of the doubt that the wine will evolve in that direction.
