The clusters of small brown flowers perch attractively at the base of the green heart-shaped foliage

Asparagus 'Graham's Cracker' is tardily deciduous

but there are a few populations where the foliage tends toward blue

The plants there were a massive 9' tall with a 9' wing span

Calanthe Kojima Violet Europe This is really a cuteCalanthe 'Kojima Violet' is a lovely seed strain of the hybrids of Calanthe aristulifera, C. discolor, C. sieboldii, and C. tricarinata. The semi evergreen large flat ground hugging foliage gives rise in early to mid April (NC) to 10" tall stalks, adorned with creamy white and lavender to violet flowers. Average to slightly moist woodland soils are best.
