Vinification: Grapes are pressed whole cluster and only the free run juice (just 50 liters for every 100 kg of grapes) are used in the Tradition bottling

The wine is bottled by gravity and after extended ageing sur lattes (6 years) the wine is disgorged in February of 2021

Its stone free, hard, loamy subsoil is rich in iron, making it a traditional soil for Blaufrnkisch. Our 40 year old vines produce grapes of the highest quality here every harvest. Franz Weninger states that this has notes of "Red berry fruit, fine forest berries, delicate hints of cherries, spices and tobacco. Freshly structured on the palate. A complex wine, but not opulent.
